Everyone gather around the clock tower and wait for the hourly angel to ring on the bell. I think there is an more elaborate "performance" at noon and 7pm. There are many art sellers and restaurants around this area, pretty touristy.
I think our private bath room cost 60 GEL per hour, and it is recommended to book. We took the cheapest body scrub options, and you feel a strong person is washing you like an object. Anyway, I do enjoy the experience.
We took a night train from Tbilisi to Zugdidi (35 GEL per person) and take a marshrutka to Mestia (20 GEL per person).
This place is simple but nice. The host is a wonderful woman, and we really enjoy her hospitality.
Walk from Mestia town to the Hatsvali cable car (15 GEL per person) to enjoy the beautiful mountain of Mestia.
The second ski lift to go further up is not operating (out of ski season perhaps).
